Dear Friends,
I was doing my stretches in my living room the other morning and finished with a plank. Then I rested face down, as is my custom, and prayed softly aloud Gal. 2:20. It’s been my main prayer verse this week as we prepare for the new year. Over the years, it’s been my “go to” verse at the YMCA when I’m about to finish my laps, machine circuit, and stretching and transition to the “adventurous stuff”—competitive racquetball.
Gal 2:20 helps me center, helps me begin from “square one.” No matter what 2024 holds, Jesus holds me, Jesus holds the future. So I am going to live each day He gives me in this 67 year old body BY FAITH in the Incarnate Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. Loved me. Gave Himself for me. It’s a mystery but oh so real. The old condemned me died with Him, He lives in the new born again me. I did not deserve it. That’s why He deserves all my faith in all the training, all the transition, and all the adventurous stuff! Join me. “Yes, Gal. 2:20, Lord! “You’ve got me back to square one. Lead on, King Jesus!”
