If My people humble themselves…2 Chronicles 7:14

To this one I will look: he who is humble, contrite of heart, and trembles at My word. Is 66:2

Dear friends near and far,

For the last couple weeks we’ve been hearing Him say,  “Go low.” In addition to the above chapters we are tracking Phil 2:1-11; Matt 23:1-12; and John 13. There’s more to say later. Join us this week in meditating upon these scriptures. Let the Lord prepare you for adventurous days to come. He wants to lead you, like in Joshua 3, where you have not passed before—the future He has planned for you. The only way to come up higher is to go low at His feet in total surrender like Joshua in chapter 5. If that’s the posture of your heart, He will make it abundantly clear when He wants to lift you up on your feet to move with Him. Jericho victories await.

Hebrews 12 says the Lord is now shaking everything that can be shaken that is not of Him. We see that happening now. Everything that man puts faith in that is not Jesus, is being shaken. People who stick their head in the sand will be overwhelmed and defeated. Those who tuck themselves under His arm, His easy yoke, will be saved and helped to become unshakeable.

The Lord showed me years ago it’s very hard to stumble if I stay kneeling before Him in my heart. Then humorously He pointed out that it’s impossible to stumble when I’m on my face! This posture of the heart is going to be crucial. There are so many not-yet-saved and/or willful Christians in your sphere of influence. They have no peace. Whether they know it or not, they need your prayers and to see your peace. Go low. Don’t take the bait of Satan, take the Yoke of Christ. He’ll make it abundantly clear if He wants you to tell family and friends they are sadly mistaken, but deeply loved by Jesus! Until those divinely appointed moments, go lowest and believe highest. The Crucified God will help you.
