Dear Friends,
Wednesday I found myself worrying about some stuff. The Lord helped me. First, He brought Phil 4:4-13 to my mind that evening. So I read it out loud. Oh yes, thank You Lord. So I prayed out the “path to peace” prayer based on the verse above, that we wrote about in our first book Come Rest. I know the drill. Pray it out yourself. You know the drill. His peace comes. Yet it frustrates me I’m so weak sometimes He has to remind me of the drill! Thank you Lord.
Then Thursday afternoon, while I was journaling, He kept it up. I felt He asked me, “Why are you so worried? Why so little faith? Settle into Me. Settle for nothing less than Me. Settle into Me, under My wing. Rest.” Then early this morning, I awoke as He brought Luke 14 to my mind. I read it. You could read it. I went back to sleep. Later today this came to my mind, “You can leave everything to Me, because you left everything for Me. Remember? Trust Me.” So there you go. You and I are never too old to be made new.
